GauchoSpace training and support

GauchoSpace is a set of online services designed to help faculty manage their courses and communicate with their students. Collaborate provides a range of support services to help instructors in their use of GauchoSpace, including training workshops for faculty and TAs, online help documentation, and email and drop-in support.

Instructional Labs

Collaborate's 16 instructional labs can serve as primary teaching locations and can provide reserved lab time for independent student activities. Students can use the labs on a drop-in basis when they are not in use for a scheduled class. The service page has more information about lab locations, descriptions of lab layouts and available software, how to request a reservation, and current lab schedules.

Instructional Materials

Collaborate can assist with the creation and use of digital instructional materials for GauchoSpace course sites and classroom presentations.  Our services are coordinated with Production Services at Instructional Development and with Library E-Reserves.

Classroom Technology

Support for presentation and interaction tools in general assignment classrooms and departmental teaching spaces, and the expansion of the UCSB Wireless network in support of instruction.

Student Support

The Collaborate Student Support Center provides walk-up and online support for student use of instructional technologies, including uMail and UCSBNetID login support. Help guides and training workshops are available.
